The Story of ECity

Popularly called ECity within Bangalore, most often refered to as Electronic City, it was named "Electronics City" by its founders.

Electronics City is the brainchild of Rama Krishna Baliga (1929-1988), who was the first Chairman & MD of Keonics (Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation). His vision was to make Bangalore, the Silicon Valley of India. In 1978 Keonics established Electronics City on 332 acres of land in Konappana Agrahara and Doddathogur Village, near Bangalore. Phase 2 is also developing rapidly. Electronic City, today is the largest tech-hub of Bangalore ( ITPL being in the other)
